Multi Pump Test Rig (SMT-FM-41)
The purpose of this unit is to demonstrate the operating characteristics and performance comparison of different types of pumps under similar input power conditions. It helps learners understand the differences in flow, head, and efficiency between positive displacement and rotodynamic pumps.
The design consists of a versatile test rig that accommodates both categories of pumps. As standard, it is supplied with the most common examples, including a centrifugal pump, a reciprocating pump, and an axial flow pump. Each pump can be operated and analyzed individually to record performance data under varying conditions.
This unit is applied in pump technology, hydraulics, and fluid machinery education. It benefits students and engineers by providing hands-on experience in testing, analyzing, and comparing pump performance, enabling better understanding of pump selection and applications in industries such as water supply, irrigation, chemical processing, and power generation.
