Fluid Friction Measurement (SMT-FM-24)

The Fluid Friction Measurement Apparatus is designed to study flow behavior, flow measurement techniques, and pressure losses in pipes and fittings. Pressure losses in real fluid flows occur due to friction and turbulence, and must be considered when designing piping systems.

This apparatus consists of six different pipe sections, each of which can be shut off individually. The sections include piping elements such as bends, elbows, and branches. One pipe section contains various shut-off devices and transparent measuring objects to determine flow rate, offering clear visualization of the internal structure. Pressure measuring points are designed as annular chambers to enable accurate, interference-free pressure measurement.

A manometer panel with transparent tubes and engraved scales allows direct reading of water levels, making pressure measurements easy and precise. The apparatus is built with a corrosion-proof structure for durability and long service life. This unit is suitable for use with a laboratory water supply or any standard hydraulic bench.
