This unit contains different measuring instruments to determine the flow rate. These instruments are Venturi meter, and an orifice plate meter. Students measure flow using a Venturi meter, an orifice plate meter. Bernoulli’s equation works for each meter. All pressure tapings connect to manometers held on a vertical panel behind the pipe work. The experimental has a stainless-steel water storage tank, a volumetric tank with a calibrated volume scale to determine flow rate and a pump which draws water from the storage tank.
