Artificial Intelligence Training System (SMT-604)
This system is designed as a comprehensive, all-in-one platform for teaching the principles and applications of artificial intelligence in automation and robotics. It allows students to gain hands-on experience with AI concepts such as machine perception, sensor fusion, and autonomous control by building and programming integrated systems that combine vision, gesture, voice, and mobility.
The trainer is built around a central AI-HUB control station based on the MEGA2560 processor, which integrates a suite of sensors including a gyroscope, color recognition, gesture and voice control modules, and Bluetooth. It includes practical hardware components like a mini Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) and an AI vision gripper, and is fully compatible with the ESOLS robotic arm for complex, multi-device tasks. The system supports open-source programming platforms and comes with a digital textbook containing over ten guided experiments.
Its primary applications are in AI, robotics, and mechatronics education at the university and vocational level. The key benefit is its integrated, modular approach that demystifies complex AI topics, enabling students to seamlessly connect sensors, algorithms, and actuators to create functional intelligent systems, thereby building a solid foundation for careers in advanced automation and smart technology development.
